Requiring an information transfer mechanism for entanglement is like requiring an information transfer for the information transfers that create the entanglement event itself.

The massless carriers that inform us of the entanglement event propagated at the speed of light from our perspective.

But those massless quanta we detected never experienced the tick of time, so they could not evolve or change.

Then, any phenomenon that appears to develop at the speed of light in our reference frame is, at the same time, an INSTANTANEOUS event from its own perspective.

So all the massless quanta we can detect from a common emission event are always entangled, because they don't experience any time intervals, so the entanglement event is always consistent with all related detections, no matter where or when they happen in the universe.

You don't need an information transfer for entanglement, because the communication mechanism you are looking for is a solution for a problem the massless carriers don't experience.

All those different carriers detected (and the different lengths of their light-like paths) were not only "connected" or "communicating", they were THE SAME THING, experiencing everything at once in a point/instant of existence with no spacetime considerations.
