Now that you mention it, I think I can also explain what supports the ER=EPR conjecture.
In my view, there's no need for entangled particles to be further connected by wormholes, since all massless quanta that maintain their identity and integrity already behave as wormholes: due to the zero proper time experienced at the speed of light, any spacetime interval between emission and absorption is a simultaneous event for those massless carriers and field perturbations that define all physical phenomena that observers can perceive.
So there's no need for spacetime to be further stitched together by wormholes: photons, gluons and other massless quanta ARE those wormholes already.
So the complete ER=EPR conjecture would actually read c=ER=EPR (or speed of light = effective instantaneity = wormholes = entanglement), and from there all quantum puzzles can be solved.
