In my opinion, only light-like interactions exist. Everything physically existing is made up of these connections between spacetime coordinates separated by light-like ratios.

The fact that all interactions unfold according to the speed of light automatically enforces causality. Moreover, the speed of light is the only condition that implies zero proper time for any spacetime interval that a material observer in any reference frame could perceive, which means that the speed of light is a form of instantaneity from the point of view of massless quanta, which explains entanglement.

So the network of interactions that make up the universe at any given time is limited to a range of possibilities by all these constraints (not to a single predetermined outcome), and nothing forces any particular outcome within that range to unfold (this is the randomness that QM considers), but whatever does unfold automatically satisfies the conditions that define the allowed possibilities in the first place, and thus automatically respects our notions of causality, locality, quantization, entanglement, conservation, consistency, or history.

I encourage you to read my other articles, where this mechanism is explained in more detail.
